Tours

A qualified docent will accompany you on your journey into the mid-late 19th century as you “cross over the bridge” into the past. Enjoy learning about how life was established in Adams County as your guide leads you into the various buildings and talks about the history and importance of each. All of our structures are original and have been relocated to the Swiss Heritage Village site.

Individual Tours

Swiss Heritage Village & Museum will be open to the public beginning Saturdays in May, and open daily–except Sundays & holidays–from June 1 to October 31. Tours are generally 60-90 minutes, offered between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. with the final tour beginning around 3 P.M. A golf cart is available for those unable to walk the entire distance. Reservations are preferred for groups of 10 or more. You are free to stroll through the indoor museum either before or after the guided portion of the tour.

Large Group Tours

(20+) are customized according to the group’s wishes. Typically, presentations are made in the school, the church, the farm house, and either the cheese house or cider press. Please make advance reservations for large groups.
